A Mat. 96, No. 2, 175-183 (2002). Summary: Recently, D. Nairn, J. Peters and D. Lutterkort [Comput. Aided Geom. Des. 16, No. 7, 613–631 (1999; Zbl 0997.65016)] bounded the distance between a Bézier curve and its control polygon purely in terms of differences in the control points. We show how such bounds easily extend to many of the curve types used in geometric modelling.
