An approach to calculate optimal window-width serving for the information diffusion technique. (English) Zbl 1049.93079

Using the technique of fuzzy window estimation, the authors examine the determination of window-width in information diffusion estimation. The concept of optimal window-width introduced here is found to be better than the experiential window-width for the estimation of a certain population probability density function.
