Zhou, D. Vibrations of Mindlin rectangular plates with elastically restrained edges using static Timoshenko beam functions with the Rayleigh-Ritz method. (English) Zbl 1043.74024 Int. J. Solids Struct. 38, No. 32-33, 5565-5580 (2001). The admissible functions for a free vibration analysis of Mindlin rectangular plates are developed using Rayleigh-Ritz method. These functions are static solutions for Timoshenko beam under transverse sinusoidal series loads along the length of the beam, and are polynomial functions of third degree plus sine or cosine functions.
