Inverse obstacle scattering with two scatterers.
(English)
[J] Appl. Anal. 70, No.1-2, 35-43 (1998). ISSN 0003-6811; ISSN 1563-504X/e

From the introduction: The authors consider the problem of determining the shape of an obstacle by the far field pattern of acoustic or electromagnetic scattered waves. Here they are interested in scattering by two obstacles $D_1$ and $D_2$ with $D_1\subset D_2$ and $\partial D_1\cap \partial D_2= \emptyset$. For a fixed obstacle $D_2$, they show the uniqueness of the obstacle $D_1$ with the sound-soft condition on the boundary of $D_1$.
