Newelski, Ludomir The diameter of a Lascar strong type. (English) Zbl 1020.03032 Fundam. Math. 176, No. 2, 157-170 (2003). Summary: We prove that a type-definable Lascar strong type has finite diameter. We also answer some other questions from a paper of E. Casanovas, D. Lascar, A. Pillay and M. Ziegler [J. Math. Log. 1, 305-319 (2001; Zbl 0993.03048)] on Lascar strong types. We give some applications on subgroups of type-definable groups.
