Defining chaos. (English)

This paper surveys, at an elementary level, some different definition of ``chaos" for deterministic dynamical systems that have been proposed in the last decades. Each definition, which tries to capture some feature of a ``chaotic system", is compared with the other one's. The basic equivalence between two simple definitions proposed by Wiggins and Martelli is finally established.
