A matrix method for determining the imaginary axis eigenvalues of a delay system.

Here, autonomous neutral or retarded matrix delay differential systems are studied. The author shows that for such systems the set of pure imaginary eigenvalues are limited to the values at which an associated second-degree matrix polynomial becomes singular. Examples are given for the stability analysis.
