Summary: We present the main ideas and results of a new general relativistic approach to the quantum mechanics of a charged particle subject to an external gravitational and electromagnetic field in a curved space-time with absolute time. This approach has some ideas in common with the standard geometrical quantisation, but it contains several differences and new results as well. Our formulation is explicitly covariant. Moreover, a fundamental role is played by the fibring over time, connections and jets. The proofs of theorems, a larger bibliography and more details can be found in a forthcoming book.
