Laguerre-Galerkin method for nonlinear partial differential equations on a semi-infinite interval. (English) Zbl 0969.65094

The authors show that a Laguerre-Galerkin method applied to Burgers’ and the BBM equations on a semi-infinite interval converges with spectral accuracy. Numerical examples are given.
