Symmetry reductions of equations for solute transport in soil. (English) Zbl 0953.35008

The authors study a model for solute transport in saturated soil consisting of a Fokker-Planck and a Laplace equation. Using methods from Lie symmetry theory they determine some exact solutions for two-dimensional transport.
