Vujić, Slobodan; Ćirović, Goran Production planning in mines using fuzzy linear programming. (English) Zbl 0947.90068 Yugosl. J. Oper. Res. 6, No. 2, 205-215 (1996). The objective of the paper is to show production optimization in practice on the example of bauxite open pits where fuzzy linear programming was used following the criterion per income. The variables in the criterion function are linguistic variables while both variables and variable restrictions are presented by triangular fuzzy numbers. The term “satisfactory income” presented through triangle fuzzy numbers was introduced instead of “maximizing the income”. Sensitivity of the obtained solutions has been analysed.
