The book is a collection of papers on modal logic. They concern the general nature and capacity of Kripke semantics, its relationship with the use of algebraic models and methods, and its application to mathematical modalities. The first chapter is Goldblatt’s Ph.D. thesis. Most of the other chapters were published as articles. The book is a text for an advanced introductory course and a source-book for graduate seminars.
