On a functional equation of Hosszú type. (English)

Summary: The Hosszú type functional equation $$ f(x+y-x\circ y)+f(x\circ y)=f(x)+f(y) $$ is solved, where $x\circ y:=\ln(e^x+e^y)$ $(x,y\in \Bbb R)$ and $f:\Bbb R\to \Bbb R$.
