Mat. 1, No. 1, 77-88 (1998). The authors construct a mathematical model of a universal characteristic of a radial-axial hydroturbine. They propose new methods of approximation of functions of scattered data which are based on some modification and generalization of \(D^m\)-splines and the Hardy multiquadric method. A program package is written and tested during the operation at the “Leningrad Metal Factory” in St. Petersburg.
