Convergence results for an adaptive dead zone inverse. (English) Zbl 0910.93068

Linear, continuous-time, single-input, single-output systems in combination with unknown dead zone nonlinearities are considered. For this class of systems, the author introduces a so-called inverse dead zone which compensates the nonlinearity and can be used to design a controller which guarantees a certain stability.
