Spectrale Géom., Chambéry-Grenoble. 14, 121-148 (1996). The paper is a historical introduction to spinors through the study of Dirac’s equation. The author presents the basic ideas of quantum classic mechanics, Dirac’s equation and the theory of spinors. There are also discussed aspects of classic mechanics, geometrical approaches to Maxwell’s equations and Dirac’s axiomatization of quantum mechanics. For the entire collection see [Zbl 0857.00014].
