Dell'Isola, F.; Gouin, H.; Rotoli, G.
Nucleation of spherical shell-like interfaces by second gradient theory: Numerical simulations.
(English)
[J] Eur. J. Mech., B 15, No.4, 545-568 (1996). ISSN 0997-7546

The theory of second gradient fluids can be used to develop a new theory of capillarity. By using a numerical procedure, the authors obtain a more precise expression for the surface tension, where curvature effects are computed more correctly and there is a difference between the mechanical and the thermodynamic pressure.
