Galerkin and weighted Galerkin methods for a forward-backward heat equation. (English)

The author considers a diffusion equation for which the coefficient of $U_t$ may change sign. He takes a weighted Galerkin method using continuous finite elements and presents error estimates. Some numerical results are given.
