On the existence of abelian difference sets with $100< k\leq 150$. (English)

Collecting several necessary conditions for the existence of $(v,k,\lambda)$ abelian difference sets a list of 45 tuples $(v,k,\lambda)$ with $100<k\le 150$ for which a difference set can exist, is given. Collecting known families of difference sets (Lehmer, Singer, and so forth) it is stated that there exist abelian difference sets for 29 of the previous tuples. Computer search is also used for several cases.
