The paper presents an application of generalized Lagrange spaces to relativistic geometrical optics. Considering the case of non-dispersive media, the post-Newtonian estimation for the metric $g_{ij}(x) = e^{2\sigma(x)} \gamma_{ij}(x)$ is developed, and certain restrictions imposed by the experimental tests are set for the post-Newtonian expansion parameters.
