Pant, R.P.
Common fixed points of noncommuting mappings.
(English)
[J] J. Math. Anal. Appl. 188, No.2, 436-440 (1994). ISSN 0022-247X

From the text: ``In the present paper we introduce the notion of $R$-weak commutativity of mappings. Under the assumption of $R$-weak commutativity we prove two common fixed point theorems for pairs of mappings. The results obtained give proper generalizations of many important fixed point theorems and open up a wider scope for the study of common fixed points under contractive-type conditions''.
