Usui, Masataka; Niki, Hiroshi; Kohno, Toshiyuki Adaptive Gauss-Seidel method for linear systems. (English) Zbl 0828.65028 Int. J. Comput. Math. 51, No. 1-2, 119-125 (1994). Summary: We extend the modified Gauss-Seidel method introduced by A. D. Gunawardena, S. K. Jain and L. Snyder [Linear Algebra Appl. 154- 156, 123-143 (1991; Zbl 0731.65016)]. Some numerical examples show that our method is able to improve the rate of convergence compared to the modified Gauss-Seidel method. Its items are heuristically matched to zbMATH identifiers and may contain data conversion errors. In some cases that data have been complemented/enhanced by data from zbMATH Open. This attempts to reflect the references listed in the original paper as accurately as possible without claiming completeness or a perfect matching.
