Parusiński, Adam Subanalytic functions. (English) Zbl 0819.32006 Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 344, No. 2, 583-595 (1994). In the course of years, the author has become a great specialist in subanalytic geometry. This is a brilliant survey, containing also new results. Subanalytic functions have been treated mostly by Bierstone and Milman (Toronto), Kurdyka (Kraków) and the author himself (see bibliography). They have been used widely. Their role is important though much less essential than that of the functions of Ecalle or Tougeron. Still, they apply even in the Hilbert XVIth problem (Denkowska, Françoise, Ilyashenko, Yakovenko). This work is well written and very useful.
