Piessens, R. On the computation of zeros and turning points of Bessel functions. (English) Zbl 0764.33002 Bull. Greek Math. Soc. 31, 117-122 (1990). The paper describes a set of FORTRAN subroutines for the accurate computation of the zeros and turning points of the Bessel functions of the first kind. The numerical methods are based on Chebyshev expansion of the zeros, as functions of the order of the Bessel function. Several asymptotic approximations are considered as well.
