Wünsch, V. Huygens’ principle on Petrov type D space-times. (English) Zbl 0697.53027 Ann. der Physik, VII. F. 46, No. 8, 593-597 (1989). J. Carminati and R. G. McLenaghan [Ann. Inst. Henri Poincaré, Phys. Theor. 47, 337-354 (1987)] proved that there are no Petrov type D space-times on which the conformally invariant scalar wave equation satisfies Huygens’ principle. This negative result is shown to be true also for the Maxwell and Weyl equations.
