Decomposition of a locally associative LA-semigroup. (English)

We show that any locally associative LA-semigroup S with left identity is uniquely expressible as a semilattice of archimedean components. Also we show that S is separative if and only if the archimedean components of S are cancellative and that S can be embedded in a union of groups if and only if it is separative.
