Chaney, Robin W.
Second-order sufficient conditions in nonsmooth optimization.
(English)
[J] Math. Oper. Res. 13, No.4, 660-673 (1988). ISSN 1526-5471; ISSN 0364-765X/e

Sufficient conditions for both unconstrained and constrained problems of mathematical programming are presented, in the cases where the problem has the usual form but the functions involved are assumed only to be Lipschitz continuous. The subclass of semismooth functions receives particular attention. The unifying feature of all the results presented here is the use of a new second-order directional derivative described by the same author in a previous paper [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 128, 495-511 (1987; Zbl 0671.49012)]. See the review of this paper for further references to Chaney's work on necessary conditions which complements the sufficient conditions presented in the paper under review.
