Minin, I. N. Radiative equilibrium of atmospheres. (English. Russian original) Zbl 0664.76122 Sov. Astron. 32, No. 3, 264-267 (1988); translation from Astron. Zh. 65, No. 3, 515-522 (1988). The radiative equilibrium of gray atmospheres containing internal sources (generalized models) (generalized models) is considered. Rigorous formulae and integral equations are given for finding the height distribution of temperature in an atmosphere. An exact solution of the problem of the greenhouse effect is found. A modification of Eddington’s method for obtaining approximate formulae is proposed.
