Golse, François Remarques sur l’homogénéisation des équations de transort. (Remarks on the homogenization of transport equations). (French) Zbl 0658.35083 C. R. Acad. Sci., Paris, Sér. I 305, 801-804 (1987). We give a general result concerning the homogenization of scattering cross sections in transport theory, still valid far from the diffusion regime, by using the compactness of the moments of the solution of a transport equation proved by the author, B. Perthame and R. Sentis [C. R. Acad. Sci., Paris, Ser. I 301, 341-344 (1985; Zbl 0591.45007) and (with P. L. Lions) J. Funct. Anal. 76, No.1, 110-125 (1988)]. We also study the homogenization of opacities in Radiative transfer, on some simplified models.
