A Kantorovich-type theorem for inexact Newton methods.

The author proves a general semilocal convergence theorem for the so- called inexact Newton methods, under Kantorovich-type assumptions. To do this suitable ``majorizing sequences'' are used. The results are applied to various situations considered in the literature.
