Gu, Chaohao A class of boundary problems for extremal surfaces of mixed type in Minkowski 3-space. (English) Zbl 0635.49019 J. Reine Angew. Math. 385, 195-202 (1988). A class of boundary problems for extremal surfaces of mixed type in Minkowski 3-space is considered. The boundary condition is that the surface should pass through a given arc of zero length as a part of its boundary. A theorem of the existence together with a geometric description of the solution is presented.
