[For the entire collection see Zbl 0604.00007.] The Vlasov-Maxwell equation is shown to converge to the Vlasov-Poisson equation at the limit of the infinite light velocity. The initial layer and the asymptotic expansion of solutions as the light velocity tends to infinity are discussed in detail.
