Herrlich, Frank Modultheorie hyperelliptischer Mumfordkurven. (German) Zbl 0571.14016 Math. Ann. 274, 283-299 (1986). Über einem nichtarchimedisch bewerteten Körper k ist eine hyperelliptische Kurve genau dann uniformisierbar (bzw. Mumfordkurve), wenn sich ihre Verzweigungspunkte in bestimmter Weise zu Paaren zusammenfassen lassen. Dies führt (in Charakteristik \(\neq 2)\) zu einer Beschreibung des (analytischen) Modulraums \({\mathcal M}^ h_ g\) der hyperelliptischen Mumfordkurven als Quotient eines offenen Steinschen Bereiches \(H_ g\) in \(k^{2g-1}\) nach einer Aktion der Untergruppe \(O_{g+1}\) von \(S_{2g+2}\) der ”paarerhaltenden” Permutationen. - In der vorliegenden Arbeit werden diese analytischen Bahnenräume \({\mathcal M}_ g^ h\) eingehend untersucht. Insbesondere wird für den Zwischenquotienten \(\bar H_ g=H_ g/({\mathbb{Z}}/2{\mathbb{Z}})^{g+1}\) eine explizite analytische Darstellung gegeben; außerdem wird gezeigt, daß \(\bar H_ g\) Quotient des Teichmüllerraumes ist, und so der Anschluß an die nichtarchimedische Teichmüllertheorie hergestellt. Das konkreteste Ergebnis erhält man für Geschlecht 2: es wird gezeigt, daß \({\mathcal M}_ 2\) Produkt einer affinen Geraden mit einer offenen Kreisscheibe und einer punktierten offenen Kreisscheibe ist. Die für diese Beschreibung benutzten Invarianten werden in Beziehung gesetzt zu den von J. Igusa [Ann. Math., II. Ser. 72, 612-649 (1960; Zbl 0122.390)] gefundenen ”arithmetischen” Invarianten für den algebraischen Modulraum \({\mathcal M}_ 2\) aller nichtsingulären Kurven vom Geschlecht 2.
