Neutral functional differential equations with infinite delay. (English) Zbl 0553.34044

The paper discusses the fundamental theory of neutral functional differential equations (NFDE) with infinite delay on an abstract phase space given by J. K. Hale and J. Kato [ibid. 21, 11-41 (1978; Zbl 0383.34055)]. The axioms for the phase space are stated in Section 1. Section 2 gives the definition of NFDE with infinite delay and some examples. The main result of Section 3 is the fundamental theory (existence, uniqueness, continuation of solutions) for this class of equations.
