Jagers, Peter; Nerman, Olle
The growth and composition of branching populations.
(English)
[J] Adv. Appl. Probab. 16, 221-259 (1984). ISSN 0001-8678

This paper is, in the formulation of the authors themselves, an updating of the exposition of the theory of supercritical Crump-Mode-Jagers processes given by the first author in: Branching processes with biological applications. (1975; Zbl 0356.60039). Compared to that source, main improvements are minimal moment conditions in the proofs and results, and the study of characteristics relating not only to the single individual but to his whole family both in the past and the future.
