Pohst, Michael; Weiler, Peter; Zassenhaus, Hans On effective computation of fundamental units. II. (English) Zbl 0493.12005 Math. Comput. 38, 293-329 (1982). Theoretical improvements of a method devised by M. Pohst and H. Zassenhaus (see the preceding review Zbl 0493.12004) have led the three authors to describe a powerful computer program which permits efficient computation of a fundamental system of units of an algebraic number field. An extensive list of numerical results is obtained which cover algebraic number fields of degree \(n=3, 4, 5, 6\) and small absolute discriminant.
