Über ein Problem der stochastischen Approximation und ein Matrixsummierungsverfahren für Zahlenfolgen. (German) Zbl 0186.51703

Es sei \(\{d_j\}\) eine positive Zahlenfolge mit \(0< d_j<1\) und \(\sum_{j=1}^\infty d_j = \infty\). Man betrachte die unendliche Matrix \((a_{n\nu})\), welche gemäß \[ a_{n\nu}= d_\nu \prod_{j=\nu+1}^n (1 - d_j + o(d_j)),\quad 1\le \nu\le n,\ n\ge 1\] definiert ist. Es ist sehr leicht zu zeigen, daß \((a_{n\nu})\) eine permanente Matrix ist, welche einen Mittelwertsatz im Sinne von Jurkat und Peyerimhoff gestattet (vgl. W. Jurkat und A. Peyerimhoff [Math. Z. 55, 92–108 (1951; Zbl 0044.06301)]). Diese Bemerkung wird angewendet, um Aussagen über die Konvergenzgeschwindigkeit von multivariaten stochastischen Approximationsverfahren zu machen.
