Wojtyński, Wojciech Groups of strings. (English) Zbl 1028.22019 J. Lie Theory 13, No. 2, 359-382 (2003). Section 1 motivates the subject of the paper. Section 2 introduces the groups of strings and N-gradation Lie algebras. Section 3 discusses four types of examples of groups of strings, insisting on the groups of strings attached to topological groups and those attached to Lie algebras. Section 4 describes the notion of analyticity for such groups. Section 5 introduces and studies the concept of the N-gradation Lie algebra L(P) attached to a topological group of strings P. Section 6 studies the Lie functor, and Section 7 indicates some applications of the previous theory.
