Describes the Math Emporium at Virginia Tech, a technology-assisted learning community serving more than 7,000 students each semester; it offers a variety of mathematics teaching and learning situations, including totally online learning, tutorials, tutors, lectures on CD-ROM, group meetings, live lectures, and testing.
