The submitted material is a continuation of the publication of the notes about the textbooks created under G.V. Dorofeev’s edition. The second chapter of the textbook is published. It is devoted to the topic "Polynomials" which plays a big role in algebra. One item of the chapter considers the Horner scheme which is an important tool for solving problems on polynomials. Test problems and solutions are given.
