Help on query formulation
Gemma’s theory ..fails. (English)
N. Z. Math. Mag. 32, No. 2, 31-35 (1995).
At a maths camp at Wanaka the authors looked at an old problem, came up with several methods of solution and extended this problem. The extensions could almost all be solved using Gemma’s Theory. There is a nice link between pairs of these solutions. The Problem: Place each of the numbers 1 to 9 in one of the squares arranged in form of a step with 3 squares height and length so that each of the three adjacent horizontal or vertical squares, adds up to 13.
