Reflections on conceptual links of natural number and its teaching in basic education. (Reflexões sobre os nexos conceituais do número e de seu ensino na educação básica.) (Portuguese)

Summary: This article discusses the conceptual links that are present on the formation of number concept but in general not studied in Basic Education. These links are settled according to socio-cultural, historical and philosophical aspects. It deals with both participation or influence of these links in the processes of teaching and learning mathematical concepts. Besides, one reflects on possible obstacles to the formation of the concept of number among students when they are in school activities, mainly in training pedagogy.
