From the introduction: The author reports on the latest round of the Mathematical Association (MA) annual challenge for primary pupils in November 2007. The Primary Mathematics Challenge is an annual event in November each year, run by the MA for pupils of primary school age. The aims of the challenge are to interest and motivate young mathematicians and provide an opportunity to promote mathematics in these schools.
