Summary: The method to solve the spherical triangles in the Sanjiao Suanfa (the methods of Solving the triangle) proposed by Xue Feng-zuo (1599--1680) is discussed by literature research and concept analyzing. Xue Feng-zuo's criteria for solving the spherical triangle are all correct. The formulas used by him to solve the general spherical triangle are easy to calculate. The methods to solve the spherical triangles in the Sanjiao Suanfa are complete and convenient, however, due to the lack of mathematical principles, they had little effect in the early Qing Dynasty.
