Summary: In this paper, a new method to measure the degree of similarity between two intuitionistic fuzzy sets is presented. Examples are given to compare the proposed method with the existing similarity measures. The results show that the new similarity measure can overcome the drawbacks of the existing methods. Finally, the proposed similarity measure is applied to multiple attribute decision making problems under intuitionistic fuzzy environment.
