    abstract     = {Summary: It is well known that the calculation of a probabilistic model for a language of communications leads to reduced redundancy for alphabetic coding, and in addition that the use of memory for coding can also raise the efficiency. However, there are other factors in languages whose calculation can raise the efficiency without complicating the coding: these are the grammar of the language and synonym relations in it. In this article we present results on the influence of these factors on the density of information and the structural complexity of optimal alphabetic coding algorithms.},
