An $n\times n$ matrix is called a fuzzy matrix if its entries are fuzzy numbers. Regularity of a fuzzy matrix is introduced and connected with the regularity of a traditional interval matrix. Moreover, the inverse of a regular fuzzy matrix is defined and shown to be again a fuzzy matrix. A comparison result is given and the inverse of a regular interval matrix is computed in a special case.
