[For the entire collection see Zbl 0717.00023.] This paper describes a specialized Lanczos algorithm for purely imaginary Hermitian matrices that keeps the Q matrices of the Lanczos algorithm real and thereby saves about 25\% computational time and even more storage space over a general complex Hermitian Lanczos algorithm for such matrices.
