    abstract     = {Summary: This paper intends to discuss the problems in the application of multimedia in college English teaching and how to solve these problems. The author conducted an investigation to investigate the present situation of multimedia college English teaching, and its results revealed some problems in the following aspects: equipment, teachers' courseware, teachers' and students' role and lack of interaction. This paper firstly concludes that the quality of equipment should be checked regularly. Secondly, the courseware design should meet the language teaching needs. Thirdly, students should be the center of multimedia teaching. Finally, teachers should improve their ability to use multimedia, and diversify their teaching methods. This paper reveals the problems in multimedia teaching of college English and suggests some practical solutions to these problems.},
