Digital control of linearizable systems. (English)
Advances in computing and control, Sel. Pap. Int. Conf. Adv. Commun. Control Syst., Baton Rouge/LA (USA) 1988, Lect. Notes Control Inf. Sci. 130, 276-280 (1989).
[For the entire collection see Zbl 0708.00019.] The problem of feedback linearization of nonliner finite-dimensional, time-invariant continuous-time control system is considered. Some remarks and comments on the effect of sampling period on linearizability are given. A new digital technique which approximately linearizes the dynamical system by using state coordinate change and digital feedback is proposed and explained. Two simple numerical illustrative examples are also given. Similar problems have been considered in the paper of {\it J. W. Grizzle} and {\it P. V. Kokotovic} [IEEE Trans. Autom. Control. Vol. AC-33, No. 9, 857-859 (1988; Zbl 0645.93036)].
